I just got back from a wonderful weekend with family at my family reunion. Thank you Lord for blessing me with such an amazing family. It’s always good to see everyone. Although, it was a bit strange that a couple of family members mistook me for my sister and congratulated me on my marriage. Yeah, awkward moment until they realized it was me. But it made for big smiles and good times. I also found that I still suck at horse-shoes. *sigh, I need practice badly. I just couldn’t clear that 20ft. But because my family is so awesome they just kept encouraging me. Every year I sign up for the tournament and every year I painfully apologize to the person who gets partnered with me. I’m not sure why I sign up anymore. Maybe it’s because it’s such an old tradition I want to be a part of it. Or perhaps because that’s some of the best time I’ll get with some of the older members of the family. It seems I always get time with Uncle Ray that way. The only thing I wished was that my grandpa could’ve gone. I missed him being a part of the big group. It’s like what he did. He loved me and came to the reunions every year. At least I still have him for now and I’ll get to see him at the end of the summer. Love those around you and don’t take them for granted, with warm wishes.
